Ah, Saturday morning cartoons. I thought I’d share one with you, even though it wasn’t actually published today. Head over to Too Sense and check out this post: The Vile Racism of Pat Oliphant. Pat Oliphant, for those who don’t know, is a Pulitzer prize winning politcal cartoonist and probably the most famous one working today. His work is influential, easily recognizable by the ubiquitous little penguin, and internationally syndicated. He’s drawn some fire over the last few years for being a little bit racist and his recent cartoon in response to Obama’s father’s day speech seems to add veracity to that criticism.
