Um, try again

So, in the Charlie Gibson interview, Sarah Palin said that Alaska, “produces nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy.”  As the Washington Post reports, the independent FactCheck.org  pointed out to the McCain camp that the number was wrong.  According to numbers from the Energy Information Administration, it’s actually 3.5%, behind Kentucky (4.5%) and Pennsylvania (3.8%).  After FactCheck.org called them on it, Palin revised her assertion yesterday, claiming at a campaign stop in Colorado that her job had been to “oversee nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of oil and gas.”  The only problem is that that’s not right either.  The number is closer to 13%.  See the Post report for all the gories.  When will the deception end?
