Quote of the night

NC Governor Mike Easely was on the Rachel Maddow show tonight talking about how Obama might carry his state.  He mentioned seeing a pick up truck complete with gun rack sporting two Obama bumper stickers.  He explained the iconography of that in his traditionally red state:

I like McCain, but I love my job.

Touche.

James Moore, author of Bush’s Brain, on Olbermann tonight, speaking of the VP debate, said that Biden should not worry about pussy footing around Palin, as some have suggested, but should, instead:

… beat her about her diminutive brain.

On Palin’s qualifications, I give you Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE), via the Omaha World-Herald:

“She doesn’t have any foreign policy credentials,” Hagel said in an interview. “You get a passport for the first time in your life last year? I mean, I don’t know what you can say. You can’t say anything.”
