Yes, Dick, you are part of the Executive branch

I’ve managed to go almost nine months without talking about Dick Cheney and here I am posting about him twice in one day.  Lord.

Dick has asserted for years that the Vice President’s office is not part of the Executive Branch, but is, instead, attached to the Congress.  Ok, whatever, but that’s crap.  Today, a judge essentially told Cheney to stuff it and ordered that he must preserve a wide range of records from his time as VP as opposed to the narrower definition of what the Bush administration was arguing must be kept under the Presidential Records Act.  Yes, Dick, you are subject to the full letter of the Presidential Records Act because, duh, you are part of the Executive Branch.  And no, George, you cannot define the Act in any way you see fit.

I hope this will be my last post on Cheney for awhile.  Lord willing.
